A man who was shot to death by Aurora police pulled a gun as another man was attempting to rob his backpack, police said.The incident happened about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and Havana Street, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.Two officers closed in on the confrontation between the pair when the man whose backpack was being robbed pulled a gun and pointed it at the alleged robber, a Friday news release said.“Officers arrived at the intersection and aired they were in contact with the armed man,” police said “Moments later, the officers aired shots had been fired. Denver police are looking for a man accused of first-degree murder in connection to a shooting from earlier this month.The Denver Police Department published a bulletin on social media asking members of the public to help investigators find the suspect 28-year-old Christopher Roel Hernandez related to a fatal shooting the night of Aug. 8 at West Cedar Avenue and South Federal Boulevard.The shooting that left one man dead occurred outside at about 9:40 p.m. in the 200 block of South Federal Boulevard. 58-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Auto Collision near Rio Vista AvenueFRESNO COUNTY, CA (August 25, 2023) – Tuesday, Daniel Uribe died and Anise Huerta was involved in a multi-car crash on Goodfellow Avenue.The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m., just west of Rio Vista Avenue.According to reports, 26-year-old Huerta was distracted while traveling east in a Chevrolet Silverado. FREMONT — A 2-year-old boy died Thursday after he was struck by an SUV in a parking lot, officials said.He was identified Friday by the coroner’s office as Leonid Grigorev of Fremont.The fatal collision happened about 6 p.m. Thursday in a business center parking lot in the 5000 block of Mowry Avenue, police said.Authorities said the boy was struck by a moving SUV but did not say how fast it was going or if it was backing up or going forward.The boy was treated at the scene by Fremont firefighters before being taken to a hospital, where he died.The driver of the SUV remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said in a news release.Police did not say who the child was with and what led up to him being hit by the SUV.
