SAN DIEGO -- The 21-year-old Marine accused of leading police on a deadly pursuit through Escondido Monday night was arraigned in a Vista courtroom Thursday afternoon.Lane Corporal John Eugene Brand appeared in court with a black eye and pleaded not guilty to all charges.“He’s charged with gross vehicular manslaughter, evading causing death, causing great bodily injury," Deputy District Attorney Helen Kim said.Brand is accused of stealing Nike merchandise from Dick's Sporting Goods in Escondido with two 18-year-old females. A man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in North York on Thursday night. Police are searching for a 29-year-old in connection with the shooting death of a Kleinburg man earlier this month in North York.Investigators were called to Oakland Avenue just off Wilson Avenue around 6:30 a.m. on Dec. 9 for reports of a man lying on the roadway.Paramedics transported the man to the hospital via emergency run in life-threatening condition, where he was later pronounced dead.He was later identified as 36-year-old Roberto Lowndes of Kleinburg.Police have now issued a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder for Luis Miguel Eucebio Severino. (WPRI) — The Office of Massachusetts’ Chief Medical Examiner has ruled the September death of a longtime New England Patriots fan a homicide, according to a release from Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey.Dale Mooney, a 53-year-old from Newmarket, New Hampshire, collapsed at Gillette Stadium on Sept. 17 after a physical altercation during a game between the Patriots and the Dolphins.
